Fabrication, Welding and Inspection
An experienced engineering and inspection team is available to assist clients and fabricators in any aspect of materials, fabrication, welding, inspection and testing (destructive and non-destructive).
Our ‘quality monitoring’ service includes fabricator assessments, document reviews, technical advice, pre-fabrication meetings, fabrication reviews/audits, inspection and testing services. These activities help to ensure that the specification requirements and programme are met. Further details are available on request.
We can provide advice on both past and present structural steel grades and relevant standards.
Welding Procedure and Welder Qualification
Sandberg provides a full consultancy and certification service for weld procedure qualification records (WPQR) and welder qualification testing (WQT). The service can provide the full package from provision of a preliminary weld procedure specification (pWPS) through witnessing, inspection, testing, documentation and certification.
Sandberg undertakes failure investigations and, in conjunction with our laboratories, can provide solutions to problems associated with coatings.
In addition, we provide assistance with the development of specifications to suit the contract requirements.
Quality plans and inspection and test plans (ITP) can be drawn up or reviewed by experienced staff that are able to give advice and assistance to both the client and the fabricator.
