Experienced in the assessment of cementitious materials both modern and historic including an investigation into salt damage to stonework, sample analysis to determine composition for historical record and suggesting sympathetic repair materials and routine cement content analysis of concrete to check for specification compliance.

Experienced in the use of modern analytical techniques such as FTIR to analyse sealants, paints and polymer coatings for type determination and failure investigation.
