Extensive international experience over more than 40 years in geomaterials, construction materials and testing techniques in the building and civil engineering industry, particularly in the quality and application of construction products. Experienced in the specification, analysis and assessment of geomaterials and in-service structural and performance-related failure investigations.
Special interest in the evaluation of natural stone for internal/external cladding and flooring/paving applications. Experienced in the specification, selection and testing of natural stone, quarry assessments, supplier facility assessments and audits, performance testing of fixings, failure investigations, cleaning and repair techniques, condition monitoring and assessment.
President of the Stone Federation of Great Britain 2010-2012.
