Building Inspection and InvestigationVacancies exist to join our team of Inspection and Investigation staff. The work involved is extremely varied as it covers a diverse range of situations including commercial buildings, civil engineering structures (commonly bridges), residential and institutional property and anything else created by the building and civil engineering industries. The work on any given project may be involve supervision, inspection, investigation of the cause of problems, testing etc. We rarely reject a challenge! A suitable candidate would be expected to be flexible, keen and well motivated. Some appropriate background experience is to be preferred but is not essential. A willingness to learn new procedures and an ability to recognise significant issues for their importance is crucial. The output is often a written report: diligent, good quality note taking followed by clear presentation of results is important but senior staff will take over where the Inspector leaves off; with increasing experience this stage advances further towards the finished product. Work is often at height: on scaffolding, in cradles or on access platforms. The post is London based but might involve periods, usually not exceeding a few weeks, anywhere in the UK or occasionally abroad. A current, clean driving licence is required. For the right person this is a varied, challenging and stimulating opportunity. Please write enclosing CV to Mr Philip Tate, Personnel Manager, at our head office: Sandberg LLP, |
