Wide experience of civil engineering materials testing and building construction practices with over 35 years practical involvement both in the UK and overseas. For the last 25 years has specialised in the external envelope of buildings and has developed a detailed knowledge of cladding systems both through the investigation and rectification of post construction defects and being actively involved in numerous new construction projects.

In recent years has concentrated on the provision of overall material and workmanship quality management on multi-million pound construction projects. Often as the Sandberg team leader advising the client as a member of his Consultant's Project team. In this role has been involved from review and drafting of original specifications and details through the entire construction process of design, testing, manufacture and installation. Often this involvement continues in the establishment and implementation of maintenance procedures.

Involved in litigation work in Europe and the UK, investigation appointments include failures in building envelopes both in weather tightness and structural performance. A strong believer in improving standards in the industry he is involved in several organisations and devote time to the presentations and talks to share the experience he has gained.
