Specialist in the examination of concrete characteristics, deterioration and interpretation of failure mechanisms (ASR, ACR, DEF Sulphate/Thaumasite attack, bomb damage, crack age determination) by microscopy.

Extensive experience in the investigation of geomaterials (soils, aggregate, roadstone, dimension stone, roofing products, armourstone, bricks) from initial product evaluation, through selection, approval and quality control assessment, to in-service failure investigations.

Worldwide experience in asbestos surveys on domestic, commercial and industrial buildings, bulk identification and preparation of asbestos management registers.
