Carried out numerous design assessments, condition surveys and failure investigations relating to façades and façade components. Has also collaborated on a number of research projects relating to all aspects of façade design and performance. An experienced analyst of façade components and systems.

Has been involved in a number of litigations, ranging from small domestic window failures through to large scale façade workmanship, quality and design faults. Special interests in the thermal performance and condensation risk of cladding systems, and in the use and failure of glass in advanced façade systems. Has presented technical papers on a range of subjects at various national and international conferences.
